The 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games are back! From Aug. 3-7, hundreds of athletes across 27 divisions will flock to Madison, WI, to compete for the title of Fittest on Earth®.

After the first three competitive days, five-time champ Tia-Clair Toomey returned to form and advanced her position in the overall standings. Toomey surprised everyone ending the first day’s competition in eighth place but battled back to third by the end of day two. Men’s competitor Ricky Garard has held fist place consistently, with 2021 champion Justin Medeiros remaining in second.

2022 CrossFit Games Leaderboard

Editor’s Note: On Feb. 24, 2022, CrossFit released a statement in which they said they would not recognize the governments of Russia or Belarus throughout the 2022 season. As a result, CrossFit has removed Russian and Belarusian flags and names from the profiles of Individual and Team competitors.

Event Two — Shuttle to Overhead

Athletes had a total of two minutes to run a 400-meter shuttle followed by jerks (shoulder to overhead) for max reps.

After a one-minute rest, athletes had three minutes to run a 600-meter shuttle followed by jerks for max reps. After a two-minute rest, there were four minutes to complete an 800-meter shuttle followed by max rep jerks.

About Robert Zeglinski

Robert is a seasoned and adept editor and writer with a keen, passionate penchant for the writing craft. He's been a leader in newsrooms such as SB Nation, USA TODAY, and WBBM Newsradio, with various other content and art production teams, and first made a name for himself in his hometown of Chicago. When not knee-deep in research or lost in a stream of consciousness for a thorough piece, you can find Robert inhaling yet another novel, journaling his heart out, or playing with his Shiba Inu, Maximus (Max, for short).
